June: Write-by-the-Lake Writer’s Workshop & Retreat

A great spa for your writing, with sections for all levels. I typically lead a Master Class for those with completed novel manuscripts. New sections include short stories and memoirs.

2017 Dates: April 12-15, 2018
This year I’ll be at the conference offering a hands-on workshop with limited enrollment.
I’m also part of an exciting new Writers’ Institute venture called PATHWAY TO PUBLICATION for anyone wanting to fast-track their writing in 2018 with the help of an experienced UW coach (like me!).

Weekend with Your Novel—“Voice,” Nov. 8-10, 2013

This event is for all novelists—new or advanced. There are two tracks and loads of workshops, plus critique groups that give you valuable feedback on your first 10 pages. I’m rolling up my sleeves and teaching here as well as leading critique groups. The main workshop day is Saturday, Nov. 9, $125. If that’s not good for your schedule or budget, consider coming to the Friday evening workshop on how to create a great author voice or character voice in our $35 workshop. Sponsored by UW-Madison Continuing Studies and held in Madison at Pyle Center, 702 Langdon St. on Saturday, and Lowell Center, 610 Langdon Street for the Friday night and Sunday morning events. http://continuingstudies.wisc.edu/lsa/writing/weekend.htm
